The Computer Assisted Instruction folder contains minutes, reports and articles relating specifically to the use of computers in language instruction and workshop held at Davidson on that topic in 1984. Biographical / Historical
Originally organized in 1981 as the Advisory Committee on Instrucational Uses of the Computer, the purpose of the committee is to advise the Computer Services Center/Information Technology Service on academic computing needs. The committee name has changed several times, becoming the Faculty Committee on Academic Uses of the Computer in 1982, and the Academic Computing Committee in 1988. The Computer Planning Committee (RG 3/1.2. 023)served as a precursor to this commmittee
