Scope and Contents
The collection consists of publications issued by the Admission and Financial Aid office. These include brochures, forms, reports, profiles and news releases for scholarship programs. The materials reflect the promotional efforts of the department on behalf of the college. In some instances, there are brochures for individual academic departments as well as brochures describing the college as a whole. The profiles provide statistics for the incoming classes. Administrative files for the department are in record group 7/1.1

Biographical / Historical
The Admissions Office is responsible for recruiting, processing inquiries of prospective students, reviewing applications, and selecting students with input from Faculty Advisory Committees, the Alumni Office, and the President's Office. Included in Admissions activities are visits to high schools; sponsoring receptions; hosting campus tours for students, families, and guidance counselors; awarding non-need based scholarships; and production of brochures and information sheets. Financial Aid operates under the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. the office is responsible for assigning all need-based awards and serves as a clearinghouse for any other funds assigned to students receiving need-based financial aid. the office also assists with the disbursement and verifying elibility requirements for student financial awards, such as athletic and merit scholarships and oversees international students in conjunction with the Assistant Dean of International Students/Bonner program.
