This Record Group contains materials that pertain to student organizations on campus. There are nearly three hundred groups ranging from the historic and earliest organizations such as Philanthropic and Eumenean Societies to the Ugly Club to fraternities, Black Professional Development Working Group, to Mental Health Ambassadors, and Young Americans for Freedom. Examples of records are constitutions and bylaws, agendas, photographs, and promotional materials.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains a newspaper article about the founding of the group, an article form the 1978 Quips and Cranks, and numerous invitations to parties. There is also e-mail correspondence regarding the house events, and also includes a Davidsonian article concerning their Operation Smile project, as well as an application form for the Sig Ep 2003 Turkey Trot. The Presidents folder contains photocopied pictures of past presidents, and the Photos folder contains assorted photos.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Records, 1883-1994

Scope and Contents The collection contains historical sketches of the fraternity. There is a copy of the original constitution from 1883 and also a revision from 1989. The minutes date from 1883-1888 and 1957-1967. There is correspondence from 1981-1992. There are addresses to the society from 1988-1991, which include toasts to the society.
