The Multicultural Affairs office assists students from minority groups through associations and organizations, the ambassadors program, and the STRIDE support program that helps new students adjust to college life. The college opened a Multicultural House on Patterson Court in 2010 and hired a director of Multicultural Affairs in 2011. The Multicultural House serves as a space where students of all backgrounds may meet and engage in various learning opportunities presented by faculty, staff and student groups. The House sponsors and co-sponsors programs year round such as movie screenings, trainings, discussion groups, ceremonies, cultural celebrations, talk backs, and receptions. In the fall of 2013, a Multicultural Center was opened in the College Union as well.
