Biographical / Historical
PIRG or Public Interest Research Group was a non-partisan, student-directed, professionally-assisted organizaiton that sought soulutions to consumer, governmental, and environmental problems through research and advocacy. PIRG's purpose was to encourage students to become involved with the social and political problems facing their community, state, and nation. The Davidson club is affiliated with the state organization, NC PIRG which was established in 1972.
