The file folder titled "Brochures" contains program brochures from the Carolina Theater, the School of Music of the Flora Macdonald College in Red Springs, N.C., an essay defending America's involvement in wars, and the Junior Speaking brochure from 1924. The file folder marked "Correspondence" contains a letter providing information on the college class ring; a letter from W.E. Bowman, Registrar for the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1928; a letter from a girl accepting an invitation for a date; a note from Mrs. Smith (supervisor of dormitories) noting that Jones' room was "good;" a letter from a girl named Grace; and a letter from the School Board of the City of Petersburg, VA discussing the possibility of Jone's teaching in that area of the country. The file folder marked "Printed Material" contains a poem entitled "Out Where the West Begins"; an essay on Fraternity Pin and Marriage; an essay on Gastrulation; a receipt from Independence Trust Company in Charlotte, N.C., and three postcards from Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD and of the Inspiration Copper Company near Globe, Arizona. The file marked "Photographs" contains a photograph of the class of 1927, the professors of Davidson College in 1926, the varsity football squad in 1927, the class of 1928, a series of photographs from the Carolina/Davidson football game of 1926. The folder marked "Western Union Telegrams" contains several telgrams from 1925-1928. The majority of the telegrams were relayed between Jones and his family in Texas. The file marked "College Forms" contains class schedules, grade reports, and receipts.
