James Henderson Indenture, 1786
Scope and Contents
The collection contains a 1767 indenture between Thomas and Mary Jerrell and Amos Alexander for land in Mecklenburg County, NC, a 1771 indenture between John and Elizabeth Jetton and Lewis Jetton for land in Mecklenburg County, a 1794 land grant for William Caldwell for land in Mecklenburg County, a 1824 indenture between Abner Franklin and Robert Davidson for land in Mecklenburg County, a 1851 survey map for F. Austin Alexander's land, a 1786 indenture for James Henderson apprenticeship to John Jetton, a 1883 cotton receipt for L. A. Potts, and a 1922 Memorial address pamphlet for a speech given by W. S. Patterson in Prattville, Alabama. Patterson graduated from Davidson College in 1903. In addition, a pair of scissors from the Piedmont Trust Bank in Davidson, NC is housed in the Artifact Collection.
