Scope and Contents This collection consists of correspondence 1859-1861 and speeches. The correspondence includes letters written to Thompson from W. N. Dickey, Drury Lacy, and others. The speeches include a manuscript copy of an essay "Music" given in 1859 and a printed copy of Thompson's Valedictory Address given in 1860.
Scope and Contents The collection consists of correspondence (1851-1859) primarily from Mrs. Mary Lacy to her stepdaugther Bess; an article on the letters (1980), and the manuscripts for seven of Dr. Lacy's sermons (1855-1860).
Scope and Contents The bulk of the collection concerns Robert Zenas Johnston (1834-1908) and includes school notebooks from Davidson College and Columbia Theological Seminary, student essays, correspondence, his sermons (1859-1907) and speeches, and a photocopy of his diary (1886-1908) as well as a small amount of financial and printed materials.
