As a student, Hale kept an ongoing scrapbook of his college memories. The vast majority of the scrapbook contains photographs of student life during the early 1900's. Hale also kept detailed accounts of various athletic events -- i.e., the scrapbook contains the scores of all basketball, track, and football games from 1917.
