Typescript, 1953
These papers consist of a typescript of anecdotes written by Dr. Vinson in 1953 relaying his experiences as a student, at a tuberculosis sanitarium in New York state, at Montreal General Hospital, with the medical corps in Italy during World War I, and reminiscences of colleagues at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Vinson titled the typescript, "Doctors I Have Known."
Sketch
This collection consists of one sketch and poem by Currie.
Sketch, 1940
The sketch is of "Indian Bill." The name "Indian Bill" was given by Davidson students to an older gentlemen who frequently stood at the corner in Charlotte where students would wait to catch rides back to Davidson. As Mr. Scherer describes him, "he was always very friendly to the students . . He was adorned with pins and buttons proclaming many interests but he always seemed to have the interest of the Davidson students at heart."
