Scope and Contents

The collection consists of two scrapbooks compiled by Davidson alumni from Japan, a directory of Japanese-Davidsonians, and a memory book written in kanji. The scrapbooks contain photographs of Davidson College campus scenes, alumni and their family, Davidson faculty and staff visiting Japan, and visits by Japanese to Davidson.

The records include files on the 1949 Campaign for Davidson, correspondence concerning Congolese students, a 1986 grant proposal to the PEW Foundation for Liberal Arts Enrichment, reports on Fund Raising activities, the Lucy C. Johnston Memorial Fund, the "Doc" White Memorial Fund, the Heath Whittle Track Fund, Dean Rusk Program events, copies of publications and program manuals.
