During his student years at Davidson College, Cooper kept a student scrapbook. The scrapbook covers the years from 1919-1923. During his years as a student at Davidson, William Rule kept a scrapbook of significant events. Information is available on the scores of football/basketball/baseball/track/wrestling games from 1929-1932. Rule also kept his membership card to the Y.M.C.A. In addition, there are several ticket stubs to the Mid-Winters Dances. Rule really followed football in the 1930's, and there are a whole slew of newspaper articles on this sport. During his student years (both at Davidson and prior), Buchanan kept a scrapbook. Included in this scrapbook are pictures taken in Japan and China, pictures of various women that he met, pictures of Buchanan with his friends, and a photograph of a man suffering "hazing."
