Scope and Contents The collection consists of correspondence (1851-1859) primarily from Mrs. Mary Lacy to her stepdaugther Bess; an article on the letters (1980), and the manuscripts for seven of Dr. Lacy's sermons (1855-1860).

Scope and Contents The collection consists of a handwritten account of life in Davidson in the 1870s and copies of newspaper articles "A Girl of the Seventies" written by Russell. No date is given for the newspaper articles, the handwritten account was probably done in 1920 at the request of Cornelia Shaw as she researched her history of the College.

Scope and Contents The correspondence consists primarily of Blake's letters to the Board of Trustees concerning relations between the college and the Presbyteries. It also includes Blake's letter of resignation in 1884. The notebooks contains descriptions of Davidson College during the Civil War and research notes on energy, the Holtz machine, and astronomy.

The correspondence is primarily related to family matters and includes letters from Morrison's granddaughter Julia Jackson. It also includes references to Davidson College and to Presbyterian churches in North Carolina.
