About the Catalog
Use the Davidson College ASCC Catalog to search or browse our archival holdings. This database includes finding aids for our institutional records and manuscript collections. Finding aids describe collections, how they were created, and how they can be accessed.
To request an on-site visit to view our materials, email firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to allow enough time to fulfill your request.
The College Archives comprises the institutional records of Davidson College from its establishment in 1837 to the present day. These holdings include the president's office records, academic department files, student organization records, etc. While most of these collections are available for research, some materials are restricted for privacy and legal reasons.
Manuscript collections include diaries, letters, speeches, and sermons. The collections may be about an individual, family, or a group. Most of the collections relate to students and alumni of the college and to civic organizations in the town of Davidson, North Carolina.
