Theo Powell shares his experience attending Davidson College in the late-60s while majoring in mathematics. He describes his upbringing in Pennsylvania, dating life at Davidson prior to co-education, and his on-going career in medicine. This interview was conducted as part of the Stories Yet to be Told grant.
Interview with Theodore Roosevelt Wilson, 2002 September 20
Oral history interview conducted with Theodore Roosevelt Wilson. Wilson discusses growing up in Davidson, the church life, farming in the area, schooling, social gatherings, and how those have changed over time. During the interview Wilson also describes where roads used to be, where houses were moved, the location of old school buildings, and stores all on the west side of Davidson. He also spends some time detailing his family tree and reflects on family ties.

Oral history interview with Verdie Torrence. Torrence describes growing up in Cornelius and Smithville, NC, attending Livingstone College, and working for Charlotte-Mecklenburg, her grandfather's blacksmithing business in Davidson, NC, Torrence Lytle High School, and how social patterns have changed over time in the local Black community. Torrence also explains how Black residents found medical care and car services to travel to businesses, recreation, and school.

Interview with William F. Withers '39, 2000 October 25
William F. Withers '39 grew up in Davidson and graduated from Davidson College in 1939. Mr. Withers was a lifelong resident of Davidson and owned Withers Electric Company of Davidson. He was also a memeber of the Lions Club and Davidson College Presbyterian Church.
In this interview Mr. Withers mostly recalls his memories of the Town of Davidson.
