This series contains interviews with Davidson College students and alumni/ae. These interviews document various aspects of Davidson College's history and culture. Some of the alumni/ae listed in this series also worked for Davidson College in various capacities. While this series primarily focuses on student and alumni/ae interviewees, similar interviews can also be found in the other oral history series and sub-groups.

Spencer describes the Vietnam War issue on Davidson’s campus through the late 1960s and early 1970s. Spencer discusses his presidency, coeducation, integration, activism, and compulsory ROTC and vespers and chapel attendance.

Terry describes the Vietnam War issue on Davidson’s campus through the late 1960s and early 1970s. Terry discusses student-faculty relations, activism, conscientious objectors, civil rights, fraternities, ROTC on campus, compulsory vespers and chapel attendance, faculty oaths, and his own shifting perspective regarding the war.
