Biographical / Historical

The first courses in Russian were offered through the college's self-instructional languages. In the fall of 1989, Bonnie Marshall joined the German department as an assistant professor to teach Russian language classes. Initially, housed with the German Department, Russian Studies became a separate department in 2011.
