Scope and Contents
The Administrative files contain the publication "Leadership Report," publicity done by the Charlotte Observer, and brochures and publications about the program. The Class Files contain records for the Pilot, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta and Iota classes. These contain files for individual students and program evaluations. The Class files are restricted and require permission of the Love of Learning office to access.

Biographical / Historical
The Love of Learning Program began in 1987, under the leadership of Davidson College Assistant Chaplain Brenda Tapia. Love of Learning is a five year-year sequential program of four-week summer college prep courses aimed toward minority students. The program includes academic, spiritual and physical components designed to educate the whole person and prepare him or her for the transition into college.
