Biographical / Historical
Completed in 1910, the Carnegie Guest House was originally constructed to serve as the Carnegie Library, the benefactor of the building being the Andrew Carnegie. With the construction of the Grey Memorial Library in 1941, the Carnegie building was converted to a Guest House. The building has operated continually as a guest house, except for 1972 through 1975, when it served as a temporary college union.
