Scope and Contents

The focal points of this collection are four original drawings of Davidson buildings Elm Row, Jackson (Fraternity) Court, Martin Chemistry Laboratory, and Eumenean Hall by North Carolina artist George C. Aid. The drawings were featured in the 1938 Quips and Cranks. Also contained in the collection are biographical materials related to the artist and correspondence between the Davidson College Archives and the Tryon Fine Arts Center related to use of the drawings for an exhibit at the center.
