Biographical / Historical
BEST is a community service program created by Amanda Kuker, class of 2008, with funding from the Bonner Community Fund. Originally called TOPdance, but changed to avoid copyright conflict with the national organization, this program is designed to involve special education students from local high schools who are physically or mentally challenged in dance in order to have fun, make friends, improve motor skills, and build self-esteem. The dance instructors are volunteers from Davidson College that are paired one-on-one with students.
