Scope and Contents

The correspondence folder contains e-mails from Changing Minds. There is a folder of Minutes from the end of the 2005-2006 academic year as well as most of the 2006-2007 academic year. The third folder contains issues of the mental awareness newsletter, "Note to Self." The Printed Materials folder contains a Davidsonian article about Changing Minds, an informational sheet, fliers for "Battling Our Bodies," and a flier advertising "Notes to Self Week" November 7-11, 2005. There is also a copy of the Changing Minds Constitution. The FLY Correspondence and Minutes folder contains corrrespondence and minutes from the "For Loving Yourself" committee. The digital files include screen shots and htm files for websites and records from 2009-2010. These include budgets, ATC proposals, officer meeting notes, and emails.

Biographical / Historical

Founded in the Fall of 2005 by Megan Sparks, class of 2006, Changing Minds is a mental health awareness organization that seeks to open up dialogue and increase awareness about different issues concerning mental health at Davidson's obviously stressful environment. In addition to having forums and discussions regarding depression, eating disorders, stress, anxiety, and addiction, Changing Minds also produced a "mental awareness newsletter" first published in November 2005. In the fall of 2007, Changing Minds created a new committee: FLY "For Loving Yourself."
