Scope and Contents
The records include minutes, records relating to the 25th and 75th anniversary celebrations and printed materials. The minute book contains minutes from 1921 to1952, membership information from 1921-1947, and financial records, 1950-1952. The materials for the 25th Anniversary include letters from former fraternity members, a financial report, and a program while the 75th anniversary materials include a program and printed history of Sigma Pi Sigma. The printed material includes examples of letterhead, flyers, copies of informational booklets (1946, 1962, 1967) and the constitutions of Sigma Pi Sigma and the Society of Physics Students.

Biographical / Historical
Sigma Pi Sigma is a National Honorary Society for Physics founded at Davidson on December 11, 1921. Originally a local organization, the second chapter was established at Duke University in 1925. In 1996 there were 460 active chapters with a total membership of 75,000.
