Scope and Contents

The files consist of memoranda and correspondence relating to the initial planning and organization of the group, memorandums to college administrative staff about the group, minutes of meetings, drafts of constitutions, responses from a survey of colleges, and photographs. The minutes of the January 1997 meeting contain lists of staff by vice-presidential divisions.

Biographical / Historical

The Administrative Advisory Group was officially formed in the fall of 1996. Beginning as an informal meeting of exempt staff, the purpose of the group is advise the President in matters of vital interest to exempt staff including communication and cooperation among exempt administrative staff, strategic planning, budgeting, performance evaluations, training, and college committees. The Group consists of elected members numbering 10% of the college's total exempt administrative staff and will represent all administrative areas: Academic Affairs, Admissions and Financial Aid, Athletics, Business and Finance, Institutional Advancement, and Student Affairs.
