Biographical / Historical

In the Fall of 2004, the Ars Longa was founded to promote visual arts on campus. The board attempted to gain status as a multiple-year student organization, funded by the Activities Tax Council (ATC). They proposed foregoing the mandatory, budget ceiling of $250 for first-year organizations because it considered itself an umbrella organization. ATC rejected the proposal, and Ars Longa received the first-year, $250 allocation. The Davidson College Photograph Club operates under Ars Longa.
