The collection contains a small amount of genealogical materials and newsclippings about the Currie, Johnston, Martin, Womack, Withers and Wharey families, files related to Archibald Currie, Lucy Battle Martin Currie, Letitia Womack Currie, Lucy Currie Johnston, and photographs. The Johnston family materials include Frontis Johnston correspondence (1845-1868 and undated) which provides accounts of family travel in those years and Frontis Withers Johnston correspondence (1950) with Sam Spencer, future president of Davidson College. The bulk of the collection are files of Letitia Womack Currie. These include correspondence, (1916-1998), a travel documents including a diary, talks on local history, and financial documents. The Archibald Currie files include the minute book (1888-1889) of the Boys Peace and Beneficial Club. Currie was a member as was his brother. The Lucy Battle Martin Currie files contain correspondence and manuscripts of several talks, including one on her trip to Oxford. The Correspondence 1902 folder also contains a collection of small cards with scenes from Oxford. The photographs are primarily of family members. Davidson College diploma of Frontis Withers Johnston, 1930 housed with diploma collection.
