 File — Box: 17s, Folder: 13

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection is largely comprised of correspondence from Anderson?s military service in Korea and poetry collections. The first two folders consist of letters written to his mother from training camp and his time in Korea. They describe his interactions with his fellow soldiers, the various foreign people he came in contact with, and his experience with the war. The third folder of correspondence touches a variety of topics, from congratulations for the Vereen Bell Award to Christmas cards. There are several Christmas postcards sent to Leland Park at Davidson College Library which have poems Anderson wrote. The folder of Army Memorabilia contains two items: an immunization card from 1969 and a badge worn by Anderson. The poetry includes the Vereen Bell Award winning collection written as a student and published booklets.
