Biographical / Historical
Walter Pharr Caldwell was graduated in the Davidson College class of 1841. He also received an A.M. degree from Davidson. While a student, he was a member of the Philanthropic Society. After graduation, he taught school in North Carolina and South Carolina. He attended Judge Pearson's Law School and had a long and active career as a lawyer.
