Biographical / Historical
Hay Watson Smith was graduated from Davidson College in 1890. He was a member of the Philanthropic Society while a student. After graduation he attended Union Theological Seminary and the University of Berlin. He served as a pastor in New York and Arkansas. His brother, Henry Louis Smith, class of 1881, was president of Davidson College from 1901 to 1912.
