Scope and Contents

The collection consists of two letters written after the burning of the Old Chambers building. McGeachy lived in Old Chambers and the letters describe the fire and the conditions immediately after the fire.

Biographical / Historical

Daniel Patrick McGeachy was graduated from Davidson College in 1922. He attended Union Theological Seminary and served as a Presbyterian minister in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. He was awarded an honorary degree by Davidson College in 1955.
