Karl F. Dixon Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection contains three letters from the Wizard Automobile Company of Charlotte, NC regarding stockholdership, 1920. There isa small pamphlet entitled "Recollections of a six-month trek across the Plains and Mountains from Iowa to Oregon" by Mrs. J.J. Garlington. There is a 1930 souvenir program rom the Sesqui-Centenniel Celebration of the Battle of King's Mountain. There is copy of the October, 1922 "The Mentor" and an official program from the 39th annual reunion of the United Confederate Veterans, 1929. There is a newspaper clipping of Mr. Dixon's discovering several famous old newspapers in his attic (n.d.). There is also a souvenir medal from the 39th reunion of the United Confederate Veterans, 1929. In addition, Mr. Dixon donated 5 copies of old newspapers, which are kept with the Famous Old Newspapers.
