Scope and Contents
The collection consists of an album (8"x7") with essays and notes written by Wylie's classmates and friends. Contributors to the album include Daniel Alexander Townsend (Class of 1858), James Porter Graham (Class of 1859), Robert LeRoy Douglas (Class of 1858), John Martin Philip Otts (Class of 1859), Philadelphus Ptolemy Maxwell (Class of 1860), Clough Lewis Sims (Class of 1860), and William Nathan Dickey (Class of 1860).

Biographical / Historical
Osmond Alexander Wylie was graduated from Davidson College in 1861. While at Davidson, he was a member of the Eumenean Society and Chi Phi. He served in the 6th South Carolina Volunteers from 1861 to 1865 and achieved the rank of Captain. He served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1881-1887 and after 1887 farmed in the area of Richburg, South Carolina. He died in Richburg in 1903.
