Wallace B. Scherer Sketch
Scope and Contents
The sketch is of "Indian Bill." The name "Indian Bill" was given by Davidson students to an older gentlemen who frequently stood at the corner in Charlotte where students would wait to catch rides back to Davidson. As Mr. Scherer describes him, "he was always very friendly to the students . . He was adorned with pins and buttons proclaming many interests but he always seemed to have the interest of the Davidson students at heart."
