Scope and Contents
The scrapbook contains materials related to Dr. Doggett's time as a student at Davidson. Contents include: class contacts and notes, a report from the Absence Committee, a report on class standing and attendance, an account book, a class assignment card, family pictures, addressed envelopes, ROTC photographs, a 1919 student body photograph, a page dedicated to the third floor of Watts dormitory that includes pictures and a letter, campus photographs of a dorm room, Old Chambers, Rumple dormitory, Carnegie Library, the Glee Club, the Band, the Reporters' Club, and photographs of friends Julius McCann Barr (1923), Louis Lee Wilkinson (1922), and Robert Jackson Knight (1922).

Biographical / Historical
Marshall Doggett, Jr. was a member of the class of 1922 and received his Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in 1928 and and honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from King College in 1948. Originally from Crawfordsville, Georgia, Dr. Doggett spent most of his life as a Presbyterian Minister in Texas and served briefly in the United States military as a chaplain and later commander.
