Scope and Contents
The collection consists of Ross' D Club certificate for 1935 to 1937. The D Club was an athletic honor association. Also part of the collection but housed separately are letters from his letter sweater and his freshman beanie.

Biographical / Historical
Charles B. Ross graduated from Davidson College in 1937. While a student he was captain of the golf team and earned Phi Beta Kappa honors. After graduation, he attended the Harvard School of Business graduating in 1938 with an MBA. He lived and worked most of his life in Greensboro, NC working for Burlington Industries. He was active in church and civic groups and earned the rank of Lt. Commander in the United States Naval Reserve.
