Scope and Contents

The collection consists of a four page typescript of his memoirs of his experiences at Davidson. It is entitled "Davidson College Contributed to WWII Victory" and provides some background on the college's role in military training as well as stories of training and social events. There is also a photograph of Mr. Kubeska in his military uniform c1943 and one with him standing in front of a plane.

Leo R. Kubeska was stationed at Davidson College during training with the Army Air Corps in 1943. After his training he qualified as a pilot and was stationed in Italy during World War II.
