Biographical / Historical
David Ryburn Hampton served in the ROTC department at Davidson College from 1960 to 1964. During this time, he and his wife Louise lived in college housing, in a building known as the Blake House. Mrs. Hampton researched the history of the house and its occupants from the 1850s to the 1960s. In 1987, the Hampton's returned to Davidson College with Mr. Hampton working as the Assistant Director of Human Resources from 1987-1988 and then director from 1988 to 1994. Mrs. Hampton was active with the Davidson Community players. She died in 1992
