Turner-Patterson Correspondence
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of letters and articles sent to Turner by Patterson and a commemorative booklet of Patterson's life that contains copies of articles he wrote and remembrances of him by friends. In his letters, Patterson refers to local events, including a campus boycott, and to his World War II experiences as well as sharing news of his writings and thoughts on current politics.

Biographical / Historical
Ernest Patterson, 1914-1992, taught Economics at Davidson College from 1957 to 1979. Marjorie and Merle Turner were friends from graduate school days and a long-time correspondent.
