Scope and Contents
The collection consists of an edited typescript for Clark's second novel Plain Heathen Mischief. Promotional materials for the book including a T-shirt and poster are housed with the Artifact Collection, A-304 and A-305.

Biographical / Historical
Martin Clark graduated from Davidson in 1981 and from the University of Virginia Law School ini 1984. He was appointed a district court judge for the Twenty-First Judical Circuit in 1992. He published his first novel, The Many Aspects of Mobile Home Living, in 2000. It was a New York Times Noteable Book for 2000 and a finalist for the Stephen Crane First Fiction Award. His second novel, Plain Heathen Mischief, was published in 2004 and his 3rd novel. The Legal Limit, in 2008.
