Scope and Contents

Cissi Fulenwider Lyles graduated from Davidson College in ‘79, and at the time of the interview is working at the college as the manager of isolation and quarantine housing at the Davidson Guest House. She was a part of the third class of women to come to Davidson. She describes her decision to come to Davidson, experience as a woman and Davidson student including academics, daily life, friendships and the social scene on campus. She emphasized the positive impact Davidson has had on her life, and reflected on the differences between the experience for current female students and those during ‘79. The interview was conducted as part of an Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) grant-funded course led by Dr. Rose Stremlau.
