Interview with Sue McAvoy '77, 2020 October 07
Scope and Contents
Oral history interview with Sue McAvoy. Sue McAvoy graduated from Davidson College in 1977. She was an Economics major, a hall counselor, played on the women’s tennis and field hockey teams, and worked for the school’s yearbook during all four years (eventually, as the Co-Editor her senior year). McAvoy discussed her experiences at Davidson College, as well as her experiences pre and post–Davidson. She recounted her experiences of athletics, academics, the yearbook, working as a Resident Advisor, dating, the social scene, her career path after graduation, and the profound ways in which Davidson has remained an integral part of her life. The interview was conducted as part of an Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) grant-funded course led by Dr. Rose Stremlau.
