Scope and Contents
Oral history interview with Mbye Njie, Davidson College class of 2004. This oral history was conducted as part of the Stories Yet to be Told grant funded initiative. In his interview, Njie discusses his overall experience at Davidson College, his entrepreneurial work to combat police violence after graduation, when he and Jason Ford were falsely accused of a crime by a fellow student and college administration towards the end of his undergraduate years, racially-motivated inequities in the town of Davidson, the deep bonds that develop between Davidson graduates, building community and space, and steps Davidson College needs to take moving forward beyond the Commission on Race and Slavery.
