Oral history interviews of EDU 300- Special Topics in Education
Scope and Contents
This sub-group contains oral history interviews conducted by students in Dr. Hilton Kelly's EDU 300 (Seminar: Special Topics in Education) course in the fall of 2010. The interviews primarily explore the history of the Davidson College Love of Learning program.
The Love of Learning Program began in 1987, under the leadership of Davidson College Assistant Chaplain Brenda Tapia. Love of Learning was a five year-year sequential program of four-week summer college prep courses aimed toward minority students. The program included academic, spiritual, and physical components designed to educate the whole person and prepare students for college.
