Harold A. Townsend Scrapbook
The collection consists of the scrapbook Townsend kept as a student. It includes notes on athletic contests, social functions, professors and a daily diary for December 1921 through October 1922; photographs of athletic teams, campus buildings, and classmates; clippings on athletic events; programs and invitations. There are also autographs from friends.
Maud Bigham Letters
This collection consists of three personal letters written by Davidson students Myron Sandifer (1943) and Hayward McDonald (1946). The letters speak to student life at Davidson. Sandifer writes of the presence of the Court of Control, recounting punishment of four freshman for not wearing their beanies. McDonald tells his former teacher what he is studying, how he dislikes one certain professor, and the general collegiality of campus life.
