Biographical / Historical

This committee was established to create a fallout plan for the college and to educate and train the faculty and staff on this issue. The work of the committe consisted of stocking the shelter areas with sufficient food and supplies to sustain shelterees for a fourteen day period, selecting and training shelter leaders, devisitng a fallout emergency procedure and plan for students and townspeople, and educating students and townspeople in fallout survival and th most effective utilization of fallout shelters. It was renamed the Civil Defense Committee in 1974.
