Scope and Contents
Records of the Office of Institutional Research currently housed in the archives include Administrative, Strategic Plan, Self Study and Stuart Scholar files. The Administrative files cover the question of investments in South Africa, the College's Sesquicentennial, and early drafts of the Faculty Handbook (1981-1982). The Strategic Plan files document activities from 1985 to 1998 and include minutes and reports of task forces and committee, including the Priorities Planning Group and copies of Strategic Plan documents.

Biographical / Historical
The Director of Institutional Research provides staff support for the office of the President, represents the President on various committees, and coordinates the College's strategic and facilities planning. The office also oversees the gathering and reporting of data for reports to government agencies, publications, and other organizations and coordinates applied research intended to inform institutional planning, policy formulation, and decision making and oversees the Stuart Scholarship program.
