The Post Exchange, 1943-1945
The Post Exchange was published mostly monthly from 1943 until 1945 as a way of sending information to Davidson residents serving in World War II. It included a column titled “Church News” and information about the troops overseas and war efforts at home. In issue number 9, it included an advertisement for the Red and White, another Davidson newspaper (although it didn’t speak of the Red and White favorably).

Star Ace Review, 1944
The Star Ace Review was founded by the Star and Ace Clubs of Davidson High School in 1944. It only ran one issue, and it was dedicated to “all the boys and girls in the service of our country.” It ran articles about the Star and Ace Clubs, the Red and White (the other newspaper at the time), the PTA, the Safety Patrol, the senior class of 1944 (11 seniors), sports, superlatives, and alumni news”

The Twin City Leader was a spin-off of The Davidson News Leader, and its purpose was broader in scope. It only lasted for one issue (September 19, 1946). On the last page, there was a society column called “Carolyn’s Comments.”
