Scope and Contents
Oral history interview with Jessica Gumucio, Davidson College class of 2016. Gumucio was born in Baltimore, Maryland and identifies as Latina. In the interview, Gumucio discusses her experiences as a mathematics major and Russian minor, the importance of the STRIDE program and the community built around OLAS, the tensions between international students and latinx students raised in the United States, her experiences as a first generation college student, Turner eating house, and difficulties with navigating classes and extracurriculars at a Predominantly White Institution (PWI).
