Scope and Contents
Judy (class of 1985) and Charles Hooks, (class of 1983) discuss their experiences of being part of a small group of Black students on Davidson’s campus during the 1980s. They recount their experiences of dating each other in college and reconnecting in Atlanta, years later. They also discuss their experiences with social life and partying at Davidson, specifically mentioning the Black Student Coalition as a place of community. The interview was conducted as part of an Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) grant-funded course led by Dr. Rose Stremlau.
