The collection consists of a copy of the founding ordinance, minutes and related records for the period 1979 to 1988. There are printed minutes and handwritten notes, copies of resolutions, and newspaper clippings. During this time the committee worked with the Davidson Community Development Club to address issues related to housing, the community center, and plans for Griffith Street.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of two pieces; a typescript and manuscript of a letter written to the mother of William S. Bailey, of Petersburg, VA reporting to her the details of her son's sickness and death at Davidson. Bailey entered Davidson in 1863, but died of a sudden illness in April of 1864. The second piece is a photocopy and typescript of a letter written by Dr. Kirkpatrick to an unknown recipient in April of 1866.
